Jack

"Hey Daddy," Jack looks up from his paper, marker still bleeding into the masterpiece, "when I go up to heaven, I will show my picture to Jesus and explain it to him." Jack furrows his brow and continues coloring. It's a picture of the cross. "This will be my card for God," his voice quiet, it sounds like he's forgotten Daddy and me. "This will be my card for the one who died for me."

The one who died for me. Sort of makes everything else seem peripheral.

holy experience

Doing what he can for someone who has suffered. Oh that I didn't let my knowlege of the spiritual prevent me from doing what I can in the physical realm.

Wow! Isn't is amazing how much their little minds absorb?! And the joy that we get out of seeing them draw those kind of pictures, how much more joy the Lord gets out of it!!
I love how you narrate your posts, btw... : )

Beautiful moment.
They teach US, don't they?

The faith of a child - no concerns about whether God wants to see a picture, just doin' for God and knowing it will be accepted. Keep on teaching Mom, Dad (and Emma). You're doing a great job.

So sweet and innocent. Thanks for sharing... I'm new to the "gratitude community". What a blessing!
